The much-awaited Standard Edition M5 SUV was revealed on July 2 by AITO, an electric car manufacturer backed by Huawei. The M5 is offered in two variations in China: a rear-wheel drive model costs Rs. 9.8 million, while a four-wheel drive model costs Rs. 10.6 million.
The M5 sets itself apart with remarkable enhancements in terms of power, interior features, and aesthetics. Equipped with a level 2 advanced driving assistance system (ADAS), the Standard Edition M5 incorporates a comprehensive suite of safety technologies. This includes 3 millimeter-wave radars, 12 ultrasonic radars, and 5 cameras, enabling advanced functionalities such as automatic emergency braking, lane keep assist, remote parking assist, and adaptive cruise control.

Features
In the latest model, AITO has introduced a range of exciting exterior features that enhance both style and functionality. At the front, the car boasts dual-lens LED headlights, providing enhanced visibility and a striking appearance. On the rear, an illuminated AITO emblem adds a touch of elegance. Additionally, the inclusion of pop-out door handles on the side further adds to the sleek and modern design of the vehicle.
In keeping with its dedication to aerodynamic efficiency, the M5 has reduced its drag coefficient noticeably, from 0.32 Cd to an outstanding 0.29 Cd. The car has fashionable 20-inch double five-spoke wheels that complete the overall appearance. Complementing the overall look, the car is adorned with stylish 20-inch double five-spoke wheels.

To ensure clear rear visibility, the M5 is equipped with a reverse camera that features an automatic cleaning mechanism. This innovative feature helps to keep the camera lens free from mud, dust, and other debris, providing a clear and uninterrupted view while reversing.
Inside the cabin, the M5 offers a captivating experience with its advanced technology and comfort features. The cockpit features a floating center control screen, along with a modern instrument panel. The latest M5 model boasts a 10.25-inch instrument panel and a spacious 15.6-inch central control screen, both powered by Huawei Harmony OS 3.0. This intuitive and user-friendly interface enhances the driving experience.
Adding to the luxurious feel of the M5, the latest model introduces front massage seats, providing a soothing and relaxing experience during the drive.

With Huawei MagLinkTM, the M5 offers automobile content exchange and device linking. For example, a parent sitting in the front row can conveniently manage and control the tablet or device being used by a youngster in the back, ensuring a seamless and connected experience for all occupants.
At 269 horsepower and 360 Nm of torque, the rear-wheel drive runs from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.1 seconds. It has a 260 km CLTC range thanks to its 40 kWh battery pack. The M5’s maximum range at full charge and fuel is 1,455 km.
The new AITO M5 deliveries are expected to start in August 2023.
