The production of the Suzuki Mehran ended in 2020 after a long run as one of the most affordable cars in the Pakistani market. The Mehran had been in production since the 1980s, and the basic design of the car had not changed much over the years. The Suzuki Mehran was known for its simple design, fuel efficiency, and low maintenance costs, making it a popular choice for budget-conscious car buyers. However, the car faced criticism for its lack of modern features and outdated design, leading to declining sales in recent years.

The company only changed some parts here and there, like slightly changing the look of the front grille other than that it was the same car all along. At the End Suzuki decided to discontinue the Suzuki Mehran and focus on newer models. With the discontinuation of the Suzuki Mehran, Suzuki has introduced newer models such as the Suzuki Alto and the Suzuki Swift, which offer improved performance, technology, and design.
